Chemical powder handling and mixing systems

We engineer powder handling, dosing and mixing systems for chemical processes. Share the material and process requirements, and we can design a line section or a complete system.

Chemical process equipment should be selected around the material, process and site.

We define the handling and mixing sequence from the material information and process requirements. Our scope can include layout, equipment, PLC control and installation and commissioning support.

Materials and what makes them hard

The material, the problem, our answer

MaterialThe problemHow we handle it
Inorganic saltsBulk ingredients need controlled conveying and dosing to meet the process sequence. We can integrate screw conveyors, weighing hoppers, load cells and PLC recipe control according to the required process.
Detergent and personal care powdersA process may require repeatable batching and mixing across multiple powder ingredients. We can configure batch weighing, PLC recipes and batch records with a twin-shaft mixer sized to the process.
Pigments and additivesFeeding and mixing arrangements need to reflect the material characteristics and process requirements. We select conveying, metering and mixing equipment based on the customer's process information and specified requirements.
Corrosive materialsMaterials and operating conditions must be reviewed to determine suitable corrosion-resistant equipment details. We manufacture corrosion-resistant twin-shaft mixers. The required configuration is determined from the material and process conditions.

Equipment

The equipment involved

  • 01

    Dosing and weighing

Batch and loss-in-weight dosing can be configured to meet the process requirements.

  • 02

    Twin-shaft mixers

Twin-shaft mixers combine powder ingredients, with batch discharge capacity selected for the process.

  • 03

    Conveyors and feeders

Conveying equipment transfers ingredients between storage, dosing and mixing stages.

  • 04

    Dust collection

Dust collection can be included at selected material handling points in the line.

  • 05

    Bulk bag unloading

A bulk bag unloading station provides a defined point for feeding material from big bags into the process.

Questions buyers ask

Can you design a system around our powder process?

Yes. We use your material, process and site information to define the equipment scope and line layout.

How do you select a mixer for corrosive materials?

We review the material and operating conditions first. We manufacture corrosion-resistant twin-shaft mixers, with the configuration determined for the application.

Can the system record recipes and batches?

PLC recipe control and batch records can be included according to the project requirements.
